The Romans believed in looking after themselves! During the Imperial Age they began to use a great well in the village of Fratta Terme, from which they obtain thermal and curative waters. Since then the importance of the value of these waters has remain in local tradition together with a great sense of hospitality.
Bertinoro, clearly visible with its unmistakable profile dominated by an impressive castle and surrounded by magnificent and relaxing scenery is defined internationally as the town of hospitality.
Well worth a visit is the Interreligious Museum in the castle.
